SD#1 is an audio installation made for the Outside Chapter project in Hamburg. The user entering the first room is in contact with two microphones. One of these reproduces exactly what it absorbs and returns it in a random time. The second microphone records the user’s contribution by holding it in a memory, it reworks it through the change of speed, timbre, pitch, effect, and give it back in a randomly manner chosen by the program. The whole project was about Serendipity. The interactive sound installation was made on the basis of random unexpected result of the manipulation of the audio from your computer This is an ars in fieri between differents artist such Andrea Santini, Mariano Leotta, Martin Romeo and Matteo Stocco. Turbine Rebirth is a quadriphonic audio installation. This installation is a homage to the important function that the lanificio Conte (Conte’s Woollen Mill) had in the past and still has for the Municipality at Schio (near Vicenza in Italy) and its inhabitants. My purpose was to bring back the core of the Lanificio to a new life and so I recreated the particular noise, now lost, of the turbine room in the manufacturing complex. Moreover I chose to contribute to the process of uprooting the traditional distinction between production and consumption, creation and copy, readymade and work that originates them. I wished to arouse the historical and symbolic importance of that place restoring meanings and symbols of past times. I also wanted to put the attention on temporality and on a-temporality that can be found in the past. The water, symbol of the flowing and of the becoming, was, in fact, the main actor and guiding principle of the installation. Water is the past, it is the present and it is the future. Technique: Max msp, web camera, 4 channel audio or quadriphonic dvd.

Me & You is a multimedia interactive installation. The installation is inspired by the myth of Narcissus and the mirror stage of Lacan (“between six and eighteen months, the child comes to recognise his own reflection in the mirror and draws up a first draft of the ego, but inside the ‘imaginary, or within a dual relationship of confusion between himself and the other”). The recognition of the self, the child in the early years of his life is read in a deviant form of displacement. Equality and diversity, I and you, me & you. Technique: Max msp, hd camera, 3 lcd screens, pressure sensor, arduino.

Urban Ziqqurat is an interactive audio installation. It was made in collaboration with Federico Petrei. We focused the problem of the ethnic-cultural diversity. People who, approaching the microphone, want to interact with the installation exceed their possible reticence to be in touch with different realities. When we add our voices to a sonorous atmosphere, we create a space where words aren’t distinguished anymore. We are only vibrations and we become a new language, that arises and brings the meaning of a new golden age. Technique: Max msp, web camera, 4 channel audio, microphone.
Agoraphobia is my first multimedia interactive installation. A video projects myself sleeping. If a visitor tries to get closer to the screen I wake up.
